Guitarist Bernth and bassist Charles Berthoud are bringing their viral virtuosity to Australia this October and November, with support from prog trio The Omnific.
Two of the internet’s most technically terrifying musicians are logging off and stepping onstage.
This October and November, Austrian guitar shredder Bernth and genre-smashing British bassist Charles Berthoud will bring their viral talents to Australia for three exclusive shows, performing live together for the first time in the southern hemisphere.
Fresh off a massive European tour, the duo will combine their absurd technical chops, deep musical chemistry, and years of online dominance for a one-of-a-kind hybrid event. Across these concerts, fans will be treated to full performances, and if they cop a Platinum Pass, getting to meet them (and learn a thing or two from masters of the craft).
Bernth And Charles Berthoud Escape The Internet Australian Tour Dates
- Friday October 31: The Tivoli, Brisbane (All Ages)
- Saturday November 1: Northcote Theatre, Melbourne
- Sunday November 2: The Metro, Sydney (All Ages)
With over 4 million followers between them, this is a rare opportunity to see two of the internet’s most influential instrumentalists take their skills from screen to stage.
Whether you’re hooked on Bernth’s hyper-precise riffing or Berthoud’s loop-heavy, acrobatic bass work, these shows promise to showcase the kind of musicianship that rarely makes it out of a practice room, let alone onto an Aussie stage.
Joining them are Melbourne’s own The Omnific, a two-bass, no-guitar prog outfit who’ve been quietly blowing minds on the global circuit. Their wild blend of metal, funk, synth, and mathy soundscapes will make for the perfect sonic warmup.
VIPs will gain access to a masterclass with Bernth and Berthoud, a behind-the-scenes Q&A, and a meet and greet with the musicians.
Tickets go on sale at 9:00am local time Thursday June 5. If you’ve ever fallen down a YouTube rabbit hole of jaw-dropping solo performances and wondered what it’d be like in real life, this is it.
