Chasing Ghosts Drop Cathartic New Album Therapy, Release “Flowers” Video

Naarm First Nations led punk act Chasing Ghosts have released their powerful new album Therapy today, along with the emotional video for new single “Flowers.”

Chasing Ghosts are back in full force today, dropping their new album Therapy – a raw, honest and unflinching record that digs deep into the personal and political scars of survival, healing, and growth.

Out now digitally via Believe Music and physically via Summit Distro, Therapy is a major new chapter for the band fronted by Thungutti man Jimmy Kyle. Produced by ARIA-nominated Stevie Knight and mixed by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath), the album channels grief, trauma, love and anger into something explosive and deeply human.

Paired with the release is a powerful new video for the single “Flowers,” a tribute to Kyle’s late friend Sean ‘SK’ Kennedy of I Killed The Prom Queen. “This song begs you to talk with your friends when you’re down, to seek help, to remember all things come to pass, and that you’re never alone,” Kyle said. “Vale Sean. SK Forever.”

Check out the video below:

Chasing Ghosts has long been a band known for urgency and intent, and Therapy continues that legacy while pushing things further emotionally and sonically. From intergenerational trauma to navigating the path to mental health and healing, this album is vulnerable, anthemic and defiant in the face of darkness. There’s pain, yes – but there’s also movement, catharsis, and a firm hand on your shoulder reminding you to keep going.

Kyle’s lyrics don’t shy away from hard truths – but they’re delivered with a compassion and clarity that feels like a reckoning. “I wrote what came really naturally to me,” he said. “These songs, although they are pretty emotive, they make me want to move as well. I wanted to do something sonically big and explosive, and feel something again.”

Now, Chasing Ghosts are taking Therapy on the road. The band have announced a national headline tour kicking off in June, with support from Brisbane alt-rockers The Comfort and Melbourne’s pop-punk upstarts Cordiform. The run will hit Adelaide, Ballarat, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
