Chelsea Grin & Currents Announce 2025 Australian Co-Headline Tour

Share

Chelsea Grin and Currents are bringing their co-headline Australian tour to local stages this May, delivering a night of crushing breakdowns and relentless energy.

The tour sees two of heavy music’s most commanding forces share the stage, joined by special guests Bloom and HEAVENSGATE.

The run kicks off in Brisbane on May 1 before hitting Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Hobart, Geelong, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, with Chelsea Grin and Currents alternating headline duties each night.

For Chelsea Grin, this marks a long-awaited return after their 2023 tour supporting Thy Art Is Murder. They previously toured the country with Soundwave Festival and The Amity Affliction. Since forming in 2007, the Salt Lake City deathcore pioneers have remained a dominant force in the genre, consistently evolving while maintaining their brutal signature sound.

Connecticut’s Currents are also making their way back to Australia after turning heads on Polaris’ 2023 Fatalism Tour. Known for their dark, introspective take on metalcore, the band has amassed over 80 million streams, toured with Ice Nine Kills, As I Lay Dying, and Fit For A King, and built a reputation for emotionally charged, technically intricate songwriting.

Bloom will be flying the flag for Australian metalcore on this tour, fresh off a huge 2024 that saw them release their debut album, Maybe In Another Life, via Greyscale and Pure Noise Records. Their mix of melodic hooks and gut-wrenching lyricism has made them one of the country’s fastest-rising heavy acts.

Opening the night will be HEAVENSGATE, whose 2022 debut single, CHEMICAL HEAVEN, introduced them as one of the most exciting new names in modern metal. Their debut EP landed via Greyscale Records, packed with production from Joshua Ang (Pincer+), Erik Bickerstaffe (Loathe), and Buster Odeholm (Thrown, Humanity’s Last Breath).

Tickets are on sale Friday, February 21 at 11am (local time). Tickets can be accessed here.
