The Coachella 2025 lineup may only include around 15% alternative artists, but those selected are set to make a significant impact. Among them, 90s punk icons Green Day will take the spotlight as Saturday night’s headliner, proving that even in a pop-dominated roster, alternative acts can still command the stage.
British icons The Prodigy will bring their chaotic electronic punk to the desert, igniting the crowd with their explosive live show. Misfits, the horror-punk icons, will also headline, delivering classic anthems like Die, Die, My Darling.
Hardcore fans can expect a blast from the past with Circle Jerks. Their brand of fast, aggressive punk will be sure keep things wild. Viagra Boys will bring post-punk mayhem, mixing humour with noise and frantic energy.
British singer- songwriter Sam Fender will showcase his anthemic alternative rock, while Jimmy Eat World will deliver their emo-rock classics from the early 2000s. Blonde Redhead will also offer experimental, ethereal indie rock for those craving something atmospheric and unique.
Infected Mushroom will present their genre-bending electronic rock, and Australia’s own SPEED will inject a high-octane hardcore straight from the streets of Sydney. Bob Vylan will fuse punk with grime for an intense set, while Amyl & the Sniffers will unleash their raw, fast-paced Aussie punk energy. Other Australian artists, including the unconventional Glass Beams and vibrant electro-pop group Parcels, will also perform.
SOFT PLAY, the new band formerly known as Slaves, will bring funky punk vibes. Irish rappers KNEECAP will add a touch of their Belfast madness, following the release of their autobiographical film.
Together Pangea will bring garage rock grit, and The Go-Go’s will serve a dose of classic pop-punk nostalgia. Even childhood heroes Yo Gabba Gabba will make a special appearance.
Coachella 2025 will at least pack some heavy guitar riffs and hardcore energy. Tickets go on presale Friday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. PT.
