Corpse and MGK to drop their collab this Friday

Share

Did we ever think we’d be writing an article about either Machine Gun Kelly or Corpse? The answer is no, but then again, life has changed a lot over the past few years. The two existing sensations have been ruthlessly teasing a collab for some time, but the consistently elusive Corpse has announced that we’ll finally see it out this Friday.

It looks like it’s titled ‘Daywalker’ and it’s threatening to be a gory, dark affair, which is as much as we could expect from anything that Corpse is involved in. The YouTuber initially rose to some success with his channel’s dive into the depraved, leveraging his creepy voice to narrate Reddit creepypasta, popular scary stories and viewer-submitted true ones. Then came his delve into music, experimenting somewhat before the virality of ‘E-GIRLS ARE RUINING MY LIFE’ (if you have Tik Tok, you know this song). Part of the mystery is that no one’s ever actually seen Corpse, with the man himself keeping his identity entirely tight-lipped. That hasn’t stopped people freaking out over pictures of his hands, but what can any of us really do about the internet?

Meanwhile, Machine Gun Kelly released his pop-punk magnum opus Tickets To My Downfall last year, which actually ended up being quite the acclaimed affair, with a little help from his friends: blink-182’s Travis Barker, Halsey, Yungblud, Trippie Redd, Iann Dior and even The Used’s Bert McCracken. Despite remaining subject to criticism for saying stupid shit about the shoes that bands on Warped Tour have been wearing, MGK appears to be rather happy to just keep on keeping on. His short film for the record, Downfalls High, starring Sydney Sweeney of Euphoria hype and upcomer Lil Huddy, has been viewed over 10 million times.
