Destroy Boys Pull Out of Good Things Festival 2024

Share

Sacramento punk rockers Destroy Boys have withdrawn from Good Things Festival 2024, as well as their planned sideshows.

In a statement, the band expressed their regret to fans:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will have to cancel our appearance at Good Things and Australia shows. To our Aussie fans—we are sorry we can’t make it this time, and we can’t wait to meet you in the future!”

Destroy Boys were set to perform on Stage 5 at the festival and had also scheduled sideshows to connect with their growing Aussie fanbase. Their absence leaves a gap in the lineup, but organisers have made adjustments..

Alex Lahey has been added to the Good Things Festival lineup, alongside local bands in each city: Belle Haven in Melbourne, Inertia in Sydney, and Bad Neighbour in Brisbane. The winners of the festival’s Battle Of The Bands competition will also perform, with Body Prison (Melbourne), Pyrefly (Sydney), and Cosmica (Brisbane) joining the bill.

The Good Things Festival will begin on 6 December at Melbourne Showgrounds, before moving to Sydney on 7 December and wrapping up in Brisbane on 8 December. Despite the changes, the festival still promises a packed lineup and unforgettable performances.

A Note About Billy Corgan
Billy Corgan, who was scheduled to play three headline sideshows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, has also cancelled these appearances. Organisers confirmed:

“Billy Corgan is unable to come to Australia as early as hoped. He will now be in full rehearsal mode for his Good Things Festival appearances when his headline shows were due to be.”

Corgan remains part of the Good Things Festival lineup, ensuring fans will still catch his performances during the main event.
