UK genre benders Don Broco have officially signed to Fearless Records, launching the next chapter in their already eclectic career with a new single titled ‘Cellophane’. The track is out now and comes ahead of the band’s return to Australia this September for a five date national tour.
Produced by Dan Lancaster (known for work with Bring Me The Horizon and Blink-182), ‘Cellophane’ threads together elements of nu-metal, alt-rock and polished electronics, nothing new for Don Broco, who’ve always been difficult to pin down stylistically. What stands out this time though, is the subject matter. The band say the song is about confronting the fear of vulnerability and the hesitation to seek help when you’re mentally burning out. It’s direct, with a heavy pop-core bite and flashes of aggression that feel more grounded than theatrical.

Fearless Records
The label deal with Fearless makes sense, Don Broco have long sat at the intersection of heavy and melodic, and Fearless’ catalogue has room for both. Label president Andy Serrao described the band as “creatively fearless”, adding that the goal isn’t to reshape them, but to elevate what they already do well.
Don Broco’s last few records (Amazing Things, Technology, Automatic) saw them climb UK charts and sell out arena shows across Europe. While they’ve been relatively quiet, ‘Cellophane’ suggests they’ve been sharpening the edges behind the scenes.
