Fit For A King Announce New Album Lonely God And 2026 Australian Tour With The Plot In You

Fit For A King have revealed their new album Lonely God is dropping this August, with a return to Australia locked for January 2026 with The Plot In You.

Texas metalcore giants Fit For A King have officially announced their eighth studio album, Lonely God, set for release on August 1 via Solid State Records.

The band – Ryan Kirby (vocals), Bobby Lynge (guitar), Daniel Gailey (guitar), Trey Celaya (drums), and Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary (bass/vocals) – worked with producer Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox) in Los Angeles to bring the new record to life. It marks a return to full creative freedom for the band.

Lonely God is the result of us writing with no agendas,” says Kirby. “We didn’t care about which song could be viral, or if we needed radio tracks, etc. We just wrote what we wanted, for the first time, in a really long time.”

He continues, “All five of us have our fingerprints on this album. We found a way to balance our voices. We’ve always been genuine with the lyrics, and that’s the case again. There’s so much heart behind all of the instrumentation too. There’s definitely a lot of growth because our bond is tighter than ever.”

To mark the announcement, Fit For A King have released the music video for the album’s title track – a heavy, industrial-tinged crusher loaded with riffs and venom.

Check out the music video and track below:

“In general, Lonely God relates to the pursuit of power,” Kirby explains. “They’re trading companionship, relationships, and love for power and money. You may have all of the power and be a ‘God,’ but it’s a lonely spot because the world despises you.”

The album follows 2022’s The Hell We Create, which debuted in the Top 3 of the Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart and landed a Top 15 spot on the Top Album Sales Chart. Across their career, Fit For A King have tallied nearly half-a-billion streams, packing venues across the globe and building a reputation as one of modern metalcore’s most consistent and explosive acts.

That momentum carries into 2026 as the band returns to Australia for a national tour supporting The Plot In You. The run kicks off in January and includes an already sold-out stop in Melbourne, with other cities moving fast.

The Plot In You (Supported By Fit For A King) 2026 Australian Tour Dates:

  • Wednesday, 21 January 2026 – Metropolis, Fremantle (18+)
  • Friday, 23 January 2026 – Hindley St Music Hall, Adelaide (Lic AA)
  • Saturday, 24 January 2026 – Chelsea Heights Hotel, Chelsea Heights (18+)

  • Wednesday, 28 January 2026 – Enmore Theatre, Sydney (Lic AA)
  • Friday, 30 January 2026 – Fortitude Music Hall, Brisbane (Lic AA)

Between the brutal honesty of their lyrics, the sharpened edge of their sound, and the strength of their brotherhood, Lonely God is shaping up to be a definitive chapter in the Fit For A King story.
