Fred Durst isn’t done popping up where you least expect him.
The Fred Durst ‘COME SAY SUM’ remix is officially on the way, with the Limp Bizkit frontman set to feature on a new version of Lauren Sanderson’s latest single, landing May 6th (per the PRP).
It’s another left field link up for Durst, who’s been drifting in and out of features lately without much warning, from MGK collaborations to now stepping into Sanderson’s rap-rock lane, he’s clearly enjoying the fun of it.
A crossover that actually makes sense
Sanderson’s sound already leans into that hybrid space where hip-hop attitude crashes into alt-rock energy, so Durst stepping in doesn’t feel forced, it feels like a throwback colliding with a newer wave.
The original ‘COME SAY SUM’ track opens her upcoming album ‘LAUREN’, due out May 29th, it’s a statement piece, built on confrontation and swagger, which lines up neatly with Durst’s whole DNA.
There’s also a visual nod that likely sealed the deal, the track’s video, featuring ‘Lez Bizkit’, throws a wink back to Limp Bizkit’s ‘Break Stuff’ era, Durst clocked it, and now he’s part of the story.

More than just a feature
This isn’t a one off cameo that disappears after release day, Sanderson is also set to open for Limp Bizkit at The Truth in Nashville on October 11th and 12th, part of the first shows at the new venue.
That gives this remix a bit more weight, it’s not just a streaming moment, it’s feeding into a live crossover that could go either way depending on the crowd.
Durst’s unpredictable run continues
Durst’s recent moves have been scattered but intentional, he’s not chasing trends, he’s inserting himself into them just enough to stay relevant without overcommitting, whether the remix hits or not, it keeps his name circling in, and honestly we’re here for it.
