Gallery: Bad/Love @ Converge Festival, Melbourne – 14 September, 2025

Bad/Love put on an explosive set at Melbourne’s first-ever Converge Festival, making a tight and intimate crowd roar like they were thousands and we were there to capture it.

Melbourne’s very own Bad/Love put on a killer headline set at Converge Festival, proving why they’ve quickly become Australia’s most reliable heavy act in the scene.

Taking place at the outdoor stage of Max Watt’s House of Music, Bad/Love were the third-to-last headliner of the night, ready to cap a full day of headbanging, screaming and moshing.

For those out of the loop, Converge Festival is a new mini-festival that debuted this year, featuring local talent alongside installations from fashion brands, DJs, and tattoo artists. The team behind it shared that there was “a gap in the market by providing an affordable and exciting mini festival,” especially when plenty of festivals now are eye-wateringly expensive and rely on international names instead.

So, as you can expect, every band brought their A-game, ready to prove why Australia’s metal scene is one of the best in the world. And Bad/Love were there to lead the charge.

Known for their blend of emo and metalcore, Bad/Love took the crowd through an eclectic set of rip-roaring tracks. Frontman Landon Kirk often found himself inside the crowd, stirring the audience into a frenzy, all too eager to reciprocate his passion and energy back to him.

By the time the band strung out the final note in their 45-minute set, the audience was invigorated with a second wind, ready for the final two acts of the night to blow the roof off the venue.
