Enter Shikari don’t just play shows—they actually orchestrate chaos. Their set at Knotfest Melbourne on 28 February was no exception.
Backed by a storm of strobes and relentless energy, the UK genre-benders delivered a set that tore through electronic highs and metal-infused fury.
Launching straight into ‘Bloodshot’, Enter Shikari wasted no time in getting the crowd moving. The pulsating energy carried into ‘{ The Dreamer’s Hotel }’, with frontman Rou Reynolds bouncing across the stage, mic in one hand and the crowd in the other. ‘Arguing With Thermometers’ and ‘Destabilise’ kept the momentum high, sending bodies flying in the pit.
The set took a nostalgic turn with ‘Sorry, You’re Not a Winner’, its signature clap sequence sending waves through the crowd. ‘The Last Garrison’ followed, balancing melody with razor-sharp intensity, before the band dived into ‘goldfĭsh ~’, a newer addition that hit just as hard live.
By the time ‘The Jester’ and ‘Mothership’ rolled around, the atmosphere had reached peak unpredictability. The band fed off the crowd’s energy, weaving through breakdowns, beat drops, and singalongs without missing a step. Closing with ‘A Kiss for the Whole World x’, Enter Shikari left Knotfest with a set that proved, once again, that they thrive in the chaos.
No one else does it like them, and at Knotfest Melbourne, they made sure no one would forget it.
