Ghost Deploy ‘Skele-Bot’ To Deliver Food With Los Angeles Charity

Ghost have teamed with a Los Angeles charity to deliver food in Inglewood using their branded ‘Skele-Bot’ robot.

Ghost have partnered with a Los Angeles charity to help deliver food to people in need, using a custom branded delivery robot dubbed the ‘Skele-Bot’. The initiative took place in Inglewood on Friday (December 19) as part of the YMCA’s FeedLA program.

The band shared footage of the Skele-Bot navigating city streets on social media alongside the announcement. The deliveries were organised as a holiday season effort to support communities facing food insecurity, with Ghost lending both their name and resources to the cause.

In the video caption, the band explained the motivation behind the project. “We wish to inform you that Ghost is hosting a Day of Deliverance! Skele-Bot will be diligently roaming the streets of Inglewood, in Los Angeles, to assist FeedLA in making their essential food deliveries this holiday season,.”

Ghost also reflected on their extensive touring over the past year and the connection they feel with fans across different cities. “Skeletour visited many cities this year and Ghost were humbled by the thousands and thousands of fans who joined them. We all share more similarities than differences,” the band continued. “Let’s not forget each other’s basic needs. Come together, together as one this holiday season.”

You can check out the video of Ghost’s Skele-Bot below. It marks one of the few LA-based delivery robots I feel less inclined to possibly tip over as it cuts me off on the sidewalk:

FeedLA is a long-running YMCA initiative focused on providing meals and groceries to underserved communities across Los Angeles.

The charity collaboration comes at the end of an extremely busy year for Ghost. The group have been extensively touring their Skeletour, which supports their latest album Skeletá, released earlier this year. They’re set to return to the road soon, kicking off the next leg of their tour in Florida in late January.
