Over the weekend, cryptic billboards began popping up across the country bearing a message that instantly hit home for anyone who ever felt like an outsider: “This song is dedicated to every kid who ever got picked last in gym class.”
Now we know what it was leading to, Good Charlotte are set to officially announce the Australian leg of their Motel Du Cap World Tour, set for February 2026 (according to The Bendigo Advertiser).
UPDATE 11am AEDT 13/10/25: The band has now officially announced the tour – check out all the info here.

The pop-punk icons are expected to announce shows at major arenas in Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, alongside a surprise stop in Bendigo. It’s an unconventional choice that feels entirely on-brand for a band that’s always worn their underdog status proudly.
“The Bendigo show is going to be massive,” Victorian tourism minister Steve Dimopoulos told the paper, adding that the government expects regional crowds to match the energy of the capital cities.
It’s a statement tour, one that reminds fans why Good Charlotte struck such a chord in the first place. Two decades on from ‘The Anthem’, ‘Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous’, and ‘Little Things’, their message of resilience and rebellion feels more relevant than ever.
The impending announcement follows renewed global interest in early-2000s punk and emo, with a new generation rediscovering the sound through festivals and social media. For Good Charlotte, though, it’s not about chasing nostalgia.
