Hot Mulligan Drop Kyle Fletcher’s New AEW Theme ‘Prototheme’

Share

In a crossover nobody saw coming, Michigan’s emo disruptors Hot Mulligan have stepped into the world of professional wrestling, crafting a brand new entrance theme for Aussie AEW star Kyle Fletcher. Titled ‘Prototheme’, the track made its debut at Globe Life Field during the recent ‘All In’ pay per view, blasting through the stadium as Fletcher hit the ramp.

For Fletcher, the moment should’ve been a career milestone, heading into All In, fans were tipping the Aussie grappler to score the TNT Championship. Even more so after reigning champ Adam Cole was forced to vacate the belt due to a concussion sustained just days before the event. As we know though, wrestling’s a brutal business. Instead of Fletcher’s big win, AEW booked a four-way scramble for the vacant title, where Texas icon Dustin Rhodes claimed the belt in front of his home crowd.

Still, with ‘Prototheme’ now in his arsenal and momentum building, Fletcher’s championship run feels like a matter of when, not if.

As for Hot Mulligan, their shift into wrestling might seem left-field, but ‘Prototheme’ shows just how well their chaotic emo sound translates into something fit for the squared circle. Known for their raw lyricism, jagged guitar lines and blend of Midwest emo with pop-punk energy, Hot Mulligan have been carving out their space in the alternative scene for years. Now, they’re breaking into a whole new audience with a song custom built to get heads banging in arenas.

On top of this, Hot Mulligan are set to release a brand new album The Sound a Body Makes When It’s Still, on Friday, August 22nd via Wax Bodega.

Pre Orders are live here!

Whether you’re catching them in a sticky-floor club or hearing them blast through an AEW arena, Hot Mulligan are proving they know how to make an entrance.
