Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour just got even bigger—and for Aussie fans, a hell of a lot closer.
The Compton prophet is heading back down under this December, with two newly announced stadium shows in Melbourne and Sydney tacked onto his already-hyped Spilt Milk Festival appearances.
It’s been three years since Kendrick last touched Aussie soil on The Big Steppers Tour. That run was cerebral, slick, and theatrical. But this time, it’s looking a little rawer. No co-headliner. No shared spotlight. Just Kendrick, in full control, riding high off a career-defining year and a resurgent fire that shows no sign of cooling.
The solo shows land at Melbourne’s AAMI Park on December 3 and Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on December 10. In between, he’ll be hopping on the Spilt Milk lineup alongside Doechii, Dominic Fike, Schoolboy Q, and more, with festival stops in Ballarat, Perth, Canberra, and the Gold Coast.
It’s a fitting end-of-year run for an artist currently operating at full throttle. Kendrick walked out of this week’s BET Awards with five trophies—including Album of the Year and Best Collaboration with SZA—and notched his first-ever No.1 on the ARIA Singles Chart earlier this year with “Not Like Us,” the venomous West Coast anthem that turned rap beef into a stadium chant.
These shows also come as his Grand National Tour tears through North America—an arena-stomping flex that’s seen Kendrick swap the choreographed slickness of Steppers for something a little more stripped-back and feral. If that energy carries into the Australian dates, we might be in for something special—less gallery piece, more open-air sermon.
