King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are back with the Phantom Island Australian Tour this December, featuring orchestral and rock shows across Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
After more than two years away from Aussie stages, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are making a thunderous homecoming with the Phantom Island Australian Tour, set to ignite the east coast this December. The tour lands just months after the release of their 27th studio album Phantom Island, which is due out June 13 via p(doom) records.
In true King Gizz fashion, this isn’t just a tour – it’s an experience. Each city will get two distinct shows: an electrifying full-length rock set and a completely unique orchestral performance, backed by 29-piece ensembles and led by conductor Chad Kelly. From the Sydney Opera House to the Princess Theatre and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, the orchestral gigs will elevate the band’s psych-rock wizardry to cinematic levels.
But King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s signature chaos is never far off – their raucous rock sets will storm venues like Fortitude Music Hall, Enmore Theatre, and another night at the Bowl, with support from Party Dozen (Sydney/Brisbane) and Barkaa (Melbourne).
