Knotfest is already a monster of an event. But for those wanting a taste more, you’re in luck. The Knotfest sideshows have just been announced.
To kick things off, A Day To Remember is headlining a one-off Brisbane show on March 3 at Fortitude Music Hall, with heavyweights Thornhill and Ocean Grove in tow. Expect singalongs, crushing breakdowns, and a crowd ready to blow the roof off.
Kawaii metal legends BABYMETAL are doubling up with Brisbane on March 4 and Sydney on March 6. With support from Diamond Construct and Future Static, these shows are set to be a whirlwind of theatrical riffs, tight choreography, and mind-bending energy.
On the more epic end of the spectrum, Within Temptation will bring their symphonic metal magic to Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on March 3 and Melbourne’s Max Watts on March 6. If Sharon den Adel’s voice doesn’t give you chills, you might want to check your pulse.
Meanwhile, death core juggernauts Slaughter To Prevail will bring their unrelenting brutality to Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on February 27. With Alex Terrible’s guttural roars, this one promises to be face-meltingly heavy.
Enter Shikari are going where few others are venturing, with shows on the Sunshine Coast, Belgrave, and Newcastle. Their boundary-pushing sound and electric live shows are the perfect antidote for anyone wanting something outside the usual East Coast capitals.
Other must-catch acts include Miss May I, who hit Melbourne on March 4 and Sydney on March 5, while Vended and Sunami are also spreading hardcore chaos across multiple cities.
Tickets go on sale from January 24 from here. Early bird pre-sale tickets are on sale from 24 January at 10:00am local time. You can register for these tickets here. I wouldn’t sleep on it if I were you.
