Lewis Capaldi Tipped for Glasto 2025 Secret Set to Finish What He Started

Lewis Capaldi might just be making a surprise return to Glastonbury this year—and if the rumours are true, it’ll be more than just a comeback. It’ll be closure.

According to the Daily Mail, Capaldi is set to hit the Pyramid Stage in a secret slot on Friday, June 27, right before Alanis Morissette. It’s reportedly the festival’s way of giving him the chance to finish the performance he started (and bravely pushed through) back in 2023.

If you remember that set, you remember the moment. Capaldi, visibly struggling with his voice and battling the effects of Tourette’s, leaned on the Worthy Farm crowd to help carry him to the end. He called it “a bit of a shit show,” but what actually unfolded was something raw, emotional and real. It wasn’t polished popstar theatrics. It was a human moment in front of thousands. And that hits harder than any perfectly sung note ever could.

“I hope the Eavises will have me back,” Capaldi said at the time. Apparently, they will.

This year’s Glastonbury line-up is riddled with mysterious TBAs—including a notable blank space right before Morissette’s Pyramid set—which fans have already earmarked for Capaldi. It would track. The festival pulled a similar move in 2023 with the Churnups, a “mystery” act that turned out to be the Foo Fighters.

And Capaldi wouldn’t be alone either. The rumour mill is also spinning around Sam Fender, Lorde, Pulp, Robbie Williams, and even Haim—who’ve conveniently left a Glasto-sized hole in their own tour schedules.

But out of all the potential surprise acts, there’s something especially poetic about Capaldi returning. No label push, no big rollout, just a dude trying to make peace with a stage that nearly broke him two years ago.

If he does show, expect zero gimmicks and one giant singalong. Because this time, he’s not showing up to prove anything. He’s actually just finishing the song.
