Promoters Live Nation Australia have shared a video seemingly confirming a Linkin Park Australian tour announcement for Monday.
After cryptic posters cropped up in cities like Brisbane and Melbourne, fans have been waiting to hear more about whether a Linkin Park Australian tour announcement is about to drop. Now, promoters Live Nation Australia are adding fuel to the fire with a new teaser video that seems to all but confirm tour news is coming next Monday.
The video was posted today (August 8) with live footage of Linkin Park performing to packed out arenas, with the visuals slowly growing smaller to reveal the backdrop – an Australian map. The caption says August 11 alongside the bepartofsometh.ing link – the same link used in the teaser posters, and the name of the band’s current world tour run. That link takes fans to a sign-up page.
While this does pretty much lock in that we’re getting Linkin Park Australian tour dates next week, what it does also seem to confirm is that sadly, we won’t be seeing the band at Good Things Festival 2025, run by promoters Destroy All Lines. The good news though? No festival run means we’re in for headline shows – most likely at major arena venues.
Rumours of an impending Linkin Park tour announcement first came to light last week when fans spotted posters on Swan St and Duckboard Place in Melbourne, and then in Brisbane as well.
Linkin Park last played in Australia as part of Soundwave Festival (and multiple headline ‘Sidewave’ shows) in 2013, with Download Festival promoter Andy Copping once said the band was originally planned to headline the 2018 run of the festival in Melbourne. A 2025 (or 2026) tour of Australia would see their first return to Aussie shores in twelve (or thirteen) years.
We’ll be finding out more on Monday, so keep your eyes peeled.
