You can almost smell the lager and nostalgia in the air—Oasis are back, and Cardiff just got the first taste.
With only days to go before the long-hyped Live ’25 reunion tour kicks off, fans outside Principality Stadium were treated to what sounded suspiciously like a full-band soundcheck on Monday night. And yes, there’s audio to prove it.
The first clip, captured from across the stadium, was fuzzy and distant—muffled guitars and Liam’s unmistakable snarl bleeding through the concrete. “Oasis soundcheck in Cardiff just now @liamgallagher sounding biblical,” one fan posted. Fair.
But it was the second clip that sent the internet into a tailspin. Clearer, closer, louder—it was Cigarettes & Alcohol, booming out like 1994 never ended. “THEY’RE IN THERE!!!” another fan screamed online. Cue the mass hysteria.
Of course, in true Oasis fashion, confusion followed. Was it the actual band? A pre-recorded mix for sound levels? A rogue pub jukebox on a mission? Liam, never one to let a conspiracy go unchecked, responded in his usual semi-mocking tone: “Defo a recording from rehearsals unless there’s 2 of me… which I’m absolutely 1 million per cent here for.”
Whether or not the Gallaghers were physically present, the message is loud and clear: Live ’25 is real, and it’s about to hit hard. Cardiff’s show on Friday (July 4) will be the first of 41 dates across the globe, with seven massive Wembley Stadium gigs and a world tour that includes North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.
Support comes from Richard Ashcroft and Cast, doors open early, and Liam has warned fans not to be late—or risk missing the chaos. “We’ll start without you,” he posted. No one’s doubting him.
Meanwhile, Aldi has renamed its Manchester branch “Aldeh” in honour of the reunion, because why not? The Oasis machine is fully operational—and you better believe it’s loud.
