Lorna Shore return with their new single “Oblivion” and announce upcoming album I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, out September 12.
Lorna Shore have re-emerged from the shadows with a new single and the announcement of their upcoming album, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, set for release on September 12 via Century Media.
The first taste of the album comes in the form of Oblivion, an eight-minute epic that signals the band’s return after nearly three years of relative silence on the new music front while the band toured the globe. Clocking in at 8 minutes and 19 seconds, Oblivion delivers everything fans have come to expect from Lorna Shore and then some.
The song opens with a creeping synth before plunging headfirst into blast beats, guttural screams, and sweeping orchestration. Will Ramos once again proves himself one of metal’s most versatile vocalists, delivering inhuman vocal acrobatics that only further cement his status as a defining voice in modern deathcore.
Guitarists Adam De Micco and Andrew O’Connor unleash a relentless cascade of interwoven riffs, while drummer Austin Archey and bassist Michael Yager provide a relentless rhythm section that keeps the chaos locked in place. Somewhere between horror soundtrack and sonic warfare, Oblivion is as ambitious as it is punishing.

For most bands, releasing a nearly nine-minute lead single would be a risk. For Lorna Shore, it feels inevitable. Oblivion doesn’t just show off the band’s technical chops – it sets the emotional and thematic tone for the album to come.
Lorna Shore’s fifth full-length album, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, will feature ten new tracks. The titles alone suggest another deep dive into emotional darkness and apocalyptic soundscapes, with cuts like Prison Of Flesh, Death Can Take Me, and A Nameless Hymn already hinting at the heavy themes to come.
