Louder Than Life 2025 Lineup Announced: Slayer, Deftones and Avenged Sevenfold

Share

Louder Than Life is back in 2025, and if the lineup’s anything to go by, this year’s festival looks like carnage. We’re talking Slayer, Deftones, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, A Perfect Circle, Bring Me the Horizon, and Knocked Loose— and that’s just for starters. It’s a full-scale metal assault spread over four days. More than 160 bands taking over the Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville, Kentucky, from September 18-21.

This festival is a true deep dive into every shade of heavy music. You’ve got the legends who built the scene—Slayer, Bruce Dickinson, Testament—rubbing shoulders with the newer school of chaos-makers like Sleep Token, Spiritbox, Lorna Shore, and Slaughter to Prevail. There’s even a spot for Cypress Hill, because why not?

A Lineup Built for Mayhem

Let’s talk specifics. Slayer—yes, actual Slayer—is back to incite circle pits on the opening night, alongside Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, setting the tone for what’s to come. Friday brings Avenged Sevenfold, Sleep Token, and Breaking Benjamin, while Saturday sees Deftones and A Perfect Circle weaving their own brand of sonic destruction. Closing out Sunday, Bring Me the Horizon, Motionless in White, and Knocked Loose are ready to throw down in style.

And then you’ve got the wildcard acts—Acid Bath, Down, Glassjaw, and even Bruce Dickinson stepping up for a solo set. The variety’s wild, but the common thread? It’s all loud, all intense, and all built for the pit.

Not Just the Bands—The Whole Experience

Louder Than Life isn’t just about the music. This thing’s a four-day marathon, with on-site camping, bourbon tastings, and VIP sections for anyone looking to watch the chaos from a safe distance. If you’re going all-in, expect mud, crowd surfers, and an ungodly amount of denim vests.

Tickets aren’t cheap, but this isn’t some casual Sunday afternoon gig. General admission starts at $319.99, with VIP options for those who need air-conditioned toilets between sets.

If you’re heading over, plan accordingly. Your neck’s gonna hate you, your voice will be shot by day two. But you won’t stop talking about it for months to come. Louder Than Life 2025 is truly the gauntlet. Tickets for the festival can be purchased here.
