Louisville cemented its place as a global live music hub this mouth, as Louder Than Life wrapped up four days of heavy music, closing out eight days of festivals in the city. Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, Louder Than Life’s 11th edition not only lived up to its billing as America’s loudest rock & metal festival but also became the largest event in the company’s history. The weekend was packed with landmark performances, surprise collaborations and historic returns.
Thursday saw Slayer storm back onto the stage, Rob Zombie deliver Astro-Creep: 2000 in full, and Cavalera revisit Chaos A.D. in its entirety.
