Louder Than Life Attendees Told To Seek Shelter Due To Severe Weather Warning

Share

Louder Than Life attendees have been directed to seek shelter as a severe weather warning hits Louisville, Kentucky.

Louder Than Life might just be experiencing a second year of wild weather causing interruptions to the music festival, with a severe weather warning putting a pause to performances as attendees are advised to seek shelter.

For those on ground, they’ve been asked to head to the festival grounds’ Freedom Hall to seek shelter until the weather system passes. For others coming in or not yet at the festival, they’ve been directed to shelter in the nearest safe space – wherever that may be. Those using rideshares like Uber and Lyft can enter Freedom Hall as well.

In a post made to the Louder Than Life Facebook page (shortly after multiple warnings and updates via the app), the festival organisers said:

“Attention. Severe Weather is approaching. Please calmly proceed to Freedom Hall or your nearest safe shelter location. We plan to continue the show soon.”

Fans in the comments seem less concerned about the weather, and more focused on when sets will resume (and if delayed or paused sets will get to continue, or will be cancelled entirely). According to Louder Than Life’s reply: “This weather system should be short-lived, and we’ve got your Sunday set times in mind. Stay tuned here for updates—your safety comes first.”

Here’s hoping we’ll see this severe weather system pass by quickly – it’s been a hot, dry, and sunny weekend up until this point. Just last year, Louder Than Life’s Day 2 was ultimately cancelled as the remnants of Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on Louisville and caused safety concerns for attendees.

Let’s hope the curse of weather (literally) raining on Louder Than Life’s parade doesn’t continue for a second year in a row.

We’ll be keeping you updated as more information comes to light.
