Yes, The 1975’s Matty Healy has been spotted at Oasis’ huge Heaton Park homecoming, proving once again that Matty lives for chaos. Especially when that particular brand of chaos comes wrapped in parkas and decades-old sibling beef.
The Oasis reunion, once thought as likely as a Liam and Noel group hug, is now five sold-out Heaton Park shows deep. And right the middle of it all was Healy himself. Singing along like he hadn’t once gone viral for telling the Gallaghers to “grow up and headline Glastonbury.”
To be fair, he’s got a point. Healy’s 2023 call-out — mocking them for dressing like 20-year-olds and acting like teenagers — was the kind of brutally on-brand Matty moment that made Noel hit back with a full scorched-earth press tour. “The 1975 are fucking shit,” he told British magazine NME. “Best Rock Band? Are you having a laugh?”
Turns out, Matty might’ve been laughing all the way to Heaton Park. And fair play — if you’re going to get roasted by Noel Gallagher, you might as well go full circle and show up at the gig like an unbothered king.
