American rock band Mayday Parade are heading back to Australia this September to celebrate 20 years as a band. They are set to bring their Three Cheers For 20 Years tour to local audiences in September this year.

The tour kicks off in Melbourne on September 12, before hitting Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. These shows mark the band’s biggest headline shows in Australia to date.

Set to be a nostalgia trip for long-time fans, Mayday Parade have promised a mix of classics and newer material. “Some of our most memorable shows have been in Australia, and that’s all because of you—our incredible fans,” the band said in a statement released ahead of the tour.

Since their 2007 debut A Lesson In Romantics, Mayday Parade have been a staple of the emo and alternative rock scene. They have delivered countless anthems like Miserable At Best, Jamie All Over, and Stay. Their most recent album, What It Means To Fall Apart which was released in 2021, proved they still have plenty to offer. They are currently gearing up to release a new three-part project this year, starting with Sweet in April.

Joining them for the tour is Jack’s Mannequin, the beloved emo project from Andrew McMahon, who hasn’t toured Australia in 15 years. Also along for the ride are rising pop-punk outfit The Home Team, adding another layer of energy to the bill.

Pre-sale tickets go live Friday, February 21 at 9am (local time), with general sales starting Tuesday, February 25 at 9am. Tickets can be accessed here.
