Metallica Announce 2026 UK/EU ‘M72’ Tour with Pantera, Knocked Loose, and More

It would seem Metallica aren’t slowing down, they’re actually doubling down now. The band just announced a fresh run of UK and European dates for their seemingly never-ending M72 world tour, now stretching deep into 2026.

These shows will once again bring the full firepower of the “No Repeat Weekends” setup — two nights, two completely different setlists, and a rotating cast of support bands that could level a small country. Gojira, Knocked Loose, Pantera, and Avatar are all locked in. Big riffs, heavier pits, and zero filler.

It kicks off next May with stadium takeovers across Athens, Bucharest, Frankfurt, Zurich, Berlin, and more. Then in June and July, it’s the UK and Ireland’s turn — including long-overdue returns to Dublin and Glasgow, and two massive nights at London Stadium on July 3 and 5.

For fans who caught this tour already, you know what to expect: a monolithic in-the-round stage, full-circle pyros, and 72 Seasons material slotted seamlessly alongside Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets classics. For those still holding out — this is your warning. Metallica are going full legacy victory lap, and they’re dragging a freight train of chaos behind them.

Tickets go on general sale next Friday (May 30) at 10am BST. Fanclub pre-sales start Tuesday (May 27) at 11am. And, in classic Metallica fashion, a portion of ticket sales will go to charity via their All Within My Hands Foundation — because even when they’re melting faces, they’ve got receipts.

In case you missed it, they’ve also got an “immersive” VR concert film on the way, shot in Mexico City — perfect if you want Hetfield screaming in your living room at 360 degrees.

Whether you’re in it for the nostalgia, the sheer scale, or the absolute madness of Knocked Loose opening for Metallica in a football stadium — this is a tour worth sweating for.

Let the black shirts breathe. Europe, you’re up.
