Metallica brought ‘Of Wolf And Man’ to their Las Vegas Sphere residency for Halloween, while Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo marked the occasion by working The Addams Family theme into their nightly jam.
The Black Album track made its first appearance of the Life Burns Faster run on October 31, with Loudwire reporting that James Hetfield introduced it with “Seek the wolf in thyself”. It followed ‘72 Seasons’ in a set that had opened with ‘Blackened’, ‘Fuel’ and ‘Leper Messiah’, giving the band a suitably Halloween selection from their 1991 album.
‘Of Wolf And Man’ shared the setlist with ‘Devil’s Dance’ and ‘The Outlaw Torn’, before Metallica closed the night with ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’, ‘One’ and ‘Enter Sandman’. For anyone keeping track of which songs have made it into the residency, the Black Album cut was the new addition.
Fan filmed footage from October 31 has since surfaced online, showing how ‘Of Wolf And Man’ looked and sounded inside Sphere, with the venue’s screen production surrounding the performance. You can watch the clip below.

Hammett and Trujillo took their own Halloween detour during the ‘Kirk and Rob Doodle’, mixing The Addams Family theme with ‘I Disappear’ while Trujillo sported a bright red wig.
The residency follows Metallica’s No Repeat Weekend format, with different setlists across each Thursday and Saturday pairing, so anyone attending both shows hears two nights of music without a song being repeated.
That approach carries over from the M72 tour, although the Sphere production brings its own tools to the performances, including the venue’s wraparound LED display, immersive audio and multisensory technology.
Metallica have also been sharing professionally filmed footage from earlier shows, with ‘Welcome Home (Sanitarium)’, ‘Devil’s Dance’, ‘…And Justice For All’ and ‘The Call Of Ktulu’ among the Sphere performances in their official video collection. The residency’s next show is listed for November 5th.
