Motörhead have released a new music video for ‘Leavin’ Here’, the latest single from The Manticore Tapes.
Motörhead have unveiled the music video for ‘Leavin’ Here’, a lost ‘alternate take’ of a track pulled from their 1976 recording sessions, set to appear on the upcoming archival release The Manticore Tapes.
The video for ‘Leavin’ Here’ pairs raucous archival footage of the band with stylised stop-motion characters and set pieces, bringing new life to a decades-old track.
The song captures Motörhead’s signature raw energy at a time when the band had just locked in their most iconic line-up: Lemmy on bass and vocals, Fast Eddie Clarke on guitar, and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor on drums.

The Manticore sessions marked the first time the ‘Three Amigos’ recorded together, captured at Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s Manticore Studios in Fulham. Though the recordings were shelved for nearly half a century, they’ve now been restored to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary.
The full tracklist for The Manticore Tapes spans studio recordings, alternate takes, and a live performance that captures the band’s unrelenting drive as they began to make their mark in rock ‘n’ roll. It’s both a time capsule and a deeper look at a pivotal point in Motörhead’s long-revered history.
The Manticore Tapes arrives June 27 via Silver Lining Music and will be available in a range of formats, including vinyl, CD, digital, and a deluxe bookpack edition. Pre-orders are available now, if you’re keen to own a piece of history.
