Ne Obliviscaris Announce 2025 Australian Tour, Playing Citadel and Exul in Full

Share

Extreme prog-metal powerhouse Ne Obliviscaris are heading out on their most ambitious Australian tour yet. They will be performing both Citadel and Exul in full on a five-date national run this June.

For the first time, fans will hear two of the band’s most defining albums played back-to-back in a special two-hour set. The tour will also mark the Australian debut of new frontman James Dorton, who has spent the past two years touring internationally with the band.

Originally released in 2014, Citadel was the album that launched Ne Obliviscaris onto the international metal scene, bringing their intricate blend of ferocity, melody, and violin-led atmospherics to a global audience. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the band recently released a remastered edition, sharpening every detail of its already massive sound.

Their latest album, Exul, released in 2023, pushed the band’s sound even further, delivering a mix of sprawling, progressive compositions and crushing intensity. Playing both records in full on the same night is no small feat. Ne Obliviscaris have made it very clear this tour is their biggest ever in Australia.

“We are excited to announce that we will be performing both our Citadel and Exul albums in full for you all,” the band shared in a statement. “This two-hour set is going to be our biggest ever here in Australia, and we can’t wait to create some more special memories with our Aussie fans.”

VIP experience packages will also be available, giving fans a chance to meet the band before each show. With only five dates, these tickets are set to disappear fast.

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 21 at 9am (local time). Patreon pre-sale begins Wednesday, February 19 at 9am (local time). Tickets can be accessed here.
