Nevertel and Sleep Theory have teamed up for the new track ‘Break The Silence’ ahead of their new album, Start Again.
Florida trio Nevertel are counting down to the release of their new album Start Again, arriving this Friday via Epitaph Records. Ahead of the 13-track collection, the band have unveiled a new single and music video for ‘Break The Silence’ in collaboration with Memphis outfit Sleep Theory.
Premiered early on Sirius XM Octane in the US, the track finds both bands colliding in what Nevertel describe as a surge of frustration and catharsis. “‘Break The Silence’ is a song about being fed up with constantly getting taken advantage of, stepped on, and overlooked,” the band explained. “We all know or have known someone in life that has treated you like crap, made you feel small, or pushed you to the breaking point.”
“When this happens with someone you love, it can be hard to address the problem out of fear you’ll be misunderstood or attacked. You end up in this internal war with yourself asking if it’s even worth it to talk about or not. But just like the song says, sometimes you gotta break the silence and put someone in their place to show them you can’t be cut down anymore. Sometimes the path with resistance is the only way forward, and it’s better to take it than to stay in silence.”
The single arrives with a high-octane music video directed by Orie McGinness, channelling Fast & Furious energy with both bands featured onscreen. It offers a visual counterpart to the intensity of the track and sets the tone for the release of Start Again.

Sleep Theory’s Cullen Moore said “being asked to be a part of writing ‘Break The Silence’ is something that’s extremely special to me. Nevertel is a band that I’ve been a fan of for a very long time and now that we’re good friends with them seems unreal. I love these guys.”
“I love what they do and I love the people that they are. I can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve put together because I think it’s exactly what people would expect from a Nevertel x Sleep Theory track.”
Written and recorded across Los Angeles, Nashville, Memphis, and Florida, Start Again was produced internally with Raul Lopez while also bringing in collaborators for the first time, including Joshua Landry, Dave Cowell of Sleep Theory, and Gianni Taylor of Bring Me The Horizon. The record threads themes of destruction, reinvention, and new beginnings, capturing the band’s evolution after years of refining their sound.
Since forming in 2014, Nevertel have amassed over 160 million catalogue streams and built a dedicated online following of more than 600,000. Now with Start Again, they are pushing forward with their most ambitious statement yet.
