New Bloom Fest is back for 2025, bringing Australia the best in alt-rock, post-hardcore, grunge, punk, and more. After a sold-out debut in 2024, the festival returns to Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. For it’s 2025 edition, the festival will be headlined by British rockers Basement. They will also joined by Balance and Composure, Drain, One Step Closer, Sweet Pill, and Glitterer— the latter making their first Australian appearances.

The 2025 edition continues in New Bloom Fest’s mission to showcase emergent talent alongside established musicians. Basement, known for their mix of 90s emo and brooding rock, will lead the charge. The Suffolk five-piece have earned millions of streams with hits like Covet and Pine and have sold out venues worldwide, including the Hollywood Palladium.

Also on the bill are, Balance and Composure, the post-hardcore American rock band who’ve spent years perfecting their mix of melody and grit. They will also be accompanied by Drain, California’s hardcore powerhouse known for their relentless on- stage energy. The band have been widely credited as spearheading the recent renaissance of American hardcore music. One Step Closer, with their melodic punk sound, and Sweet Pill, a rising emo band making waves with their debut, are also set to deliver unforgettable performances. Plus, Glitterer—the project fronted by Title Fight‘s Ned Russin—will also make its debut Australian appearance, bringing a fresh take on post-hardcore.

With more Australian artists to be announced soon, the lineup in each city will be unique. New Bloom Fest 2025 promises to be a must-see celebration of alternative music, with some of the most exciting acts of the moment under one roof.
