Nickelback have offered up another piece of their forthcoming 11th studio album, releasing new single ‘Make Me Love You’ alongside its official music video.
The Canadian rock veterans are now just over a month away from releasing Everything Under The Sun, which arrives October 30th via Virgin Music Group. ‘Make Me Love You’ is the fourth song to emerge from the record, following ‘Bones For The Crows’, ‘Rattle The Cage’ featuring John 5 and ‘Leave Me Behind’.
While ‘Rattle The Cage’ pushed Nickelback towards the heavier end of their sound with a guest appearance from Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5, the latest track shifts the focus towards romance.
‘Make Me Love You’ deals with the uncertainty that comes with opening yourself up to another person, balancing the possibility of a new relationship against the prospect of getting hurt. It continues the more reflective side of the forthcoming album already heard on ‘Leave Me Behind’.
The single has also arrived with a new music video (below) directed by Nigel Dick, whose extensive catalogue includes videos for Oasis, Guns N’ Roses, Britney Spears and Def Leppard.

First new album since 2022
Everything Under The Sun will be Nickelback’s first studio album since Get Rollin’, which arrived in November 2022.
The forthcoming record contains 12 tracks, with ‘Make Me Love You’ sitting at the album’s halfway point. Other unreleased songs include ‘I Already Know’, ‘If I Don’t Go’, ‘Chasin’ Famous’, ‘Technicolor Steamboat’ and closing track ‘Last Night Was Fun’.

Nickelback previously described the record as an opportunity to showcase several different sides of the band rather than sticking to one particular sound. Bassist Mike Kroeger has also said the group approached the recording process at a more relaxed pace than previous album cycles, rather than immediately returning to the studio after touring.
