Oasis Fans Told To Roll With It And Take Public Transport To Sydney Shows

Transport for NSW is urging Oasis fans to use public transport for Sydney’s sold-out Accor Stadium shows.

Transport for NSW is reminding Oasis fans not to look back in anger (or sit in traffic) ahead of the band’s two sold-out Live ’25 shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November.

Around 70,000 fans are expected to make their way to Sydney Olympic Park each night to see the Gallagher brothers perform together for the first time in years. With that many people descending on the precinct, Transport for NSW is strongly encouraging concertgoers to take advantage of public transport, which is included in all Oasis concert tickets.

“Oasis fans have waited a long time for this sold-out reunion tour. With Oasis only playing Sydney and Melbourne shows on the Australian leg of their world tour, fans travelling locally and interstate are encouraged to plan their trip and consider the many public transport options available to get to and from Olympic Park each night,” said Transport for NSW Coordinator-General Howard Collins.

Extra express trains and major event buses will run from mid-afternoon on both days, making it easier for fans to get to the venue early and soak up the pre-show atmosphere. Express train services will operate regularly between Central Station and Olympic Park, with return trains running until late. Those coming from the west can connect easily via Lidcombe Station for direct trains to the stadium.

Major Event Buses for Oasis fans will run on all nine routes between 3:30pm and 7pm each evening, with the last return bus leaving Olympic Park around midnight.

For anyone who needs to drive, Collins advised pre-booking parking as spaces are limited and expected to sell out. “If you need to drive, pre-book parking online to secure a spot as spaces are expected to sell out in advance. Alternatively, consider parking at a station commuter car park and continuing your trip by train or bus to Olympic Park, at no extra cost.”

Motorists are also being told to allow extra travel time, particularly on Friday evening when traffic will be heaviest. After the Oasis show, congestion is expected as thousands of vehicles leave at once, with drivers warned to expect up to an hour of additional travel time to exit car parks.

There’s some good news for rail users, with no major track work scheduled for the network on either concert night. However, L1 Dulwich Hill Light Rail services will not operate between Convention and Central Grand Concourse due to planned maintenance until early Saturday morning, with replacement services running between Convention and Dulwich Hill.

With the long-awaited Oasis reunion in Australia drawing huge crowds and plenty of emotion, fans are being urged to plan ahead, travel early, and make the most of the public transport options included with their tickets.
