If you missed out on tickets to see Parkway Drive tear up the Opera House, your second chance is here.
The final production hold tickets for Parkway Drive’s Sydney Opera House show go on sale at 9am, Friday 16 May – ahead of the Byron Bay legends taking the stage on June 9.
The one-off performance is set to include a full symphonic orchestra, a Welcome to Country by Matthew Doyle of the Gadigal people, and no doubt a massive production fans have come to expect from the heavyweights. Whether we’ll get the same level of pyrotechnics as their previous run of shows remains to be seen, of course.
Parkway Drive’s Opera House show will also be filmed for the band’s upcoming documentary and live album, Home. First announced in February, frontman Winston McCall described the event as an “iconic” celebration of the band’s home in Australia:
“For over two decades, we have carried our home in our hearts as we roamed around the world. Australia has made us; from the dirt to the sky, it is who we are. So, it is with open arms that we present to you this iconic event: Parkway Drive as you have never seen or heard it, with a full symphonic orchestra, performed at the most iconic building in the land—the Sydney Opera House. One night, one show, one band.”

Initial tickets for the show went on general sale on March 7, selling out within the day. Punters have been searching high and low for an elusive ticket since, and it looks like the time has come. Undoubtedly, these final allocation tickets will go out the door pretty fast though.
Just one last reminder: You’ll be able to cop one of the final tickets for Parkway Drive’s “Home: Live at the Sydney Opera House” show from Friday, May 16 @ 9am AEST here. If you’re one of the lucky few to snap up what is the very last allocation for this event, just remember – it’s black tie, so you better dust off those suits and evening gowns.
