Void of Vision hit Manning Bar on February 16 for their final Sydney show ever. It was clear from very early on, that this wasn’t going to be a whole lot more than any other gig. It was a farewell to a band that’s spent the last decade shaping the Australian heavy scene.
They opened with ‘Beautiful Things’, launching straight into ‘Oblivion’ and ‘Blood For Blood’, setting the tone for a set that felt like both a celebration and a send-off. The weight of the moment wasn’t lost on the crowd. This was the last time Sydney fans would get to experience Void of Vision in full force, and they made it count.
As they tore through ‘INTO THE DARK’, ‘Neurotic’, and ‘HELL HELL HELL’, it was clear the band wasn’t holding anything back. The pit barely slowed. When ‘Year of the Rat’ and ‘Kill All My Friends’ hit, the energy was at its peak. The setlist pulled from every era. It gave fans one last chance to scream back the words that had defined the band’s run.
By the time ‘THE LONELY PEOPLE’ wrapped the main set, the room was drenched in sweat. The crowd wasn’t ready to let go yet though. They demanded one more, and the band delivered—‘Empty’ closing the night, leaving everything on the floor.
Void of Vision’s final tour has been a reminder of how much they’ve pushed themselves and the scene around them. No gimmicks, no drawn-out speeches—just a band going out on their own terms. Sydney gave them the send-off they deserved.
