Grindcore chaos is coming. Pig Destroyer and Wormrot are joining forces for a brutal co-headline tour across Australia and New Zealand this September.
It marks Pig Destroyer’s first trip down under in over 15 years. Presented by Soundworks Direct, the tour brings together two of the most violent and revered forces in extreme music.
Pig Destroyer haven’t touched Aussie soil since 2008, but they’re making up for lost time with a set that promises no frills. It’s just going to be feral riffs, blast-beats, and guttural self-exorcism. As you would know if you’re reading this article, their sound’s always been stripped to the bone. So expect music that’s harsh, precise, and suffocating in all the right ways.
Singapore’s Wormrot have recently reunited their original lineup. After doing so, they have wasted no time in launching straight back into the pit. With a new album titled TNT on the way, they’re firing on all cylinders again. This time it’s faster, filthier, and more locked-in than ever. Their live sets are pure obliteration: one minute you’re upright, the next you’re in the rubble.
Between Pig Destroyer’s razor-wire compositions and Wormrot’s relentless grind, these shows are going to be unrelenting. No theatrics. No filler. Just two bands at their most savage, turning every venue into a complete and utter frenzy. So if you like your music fast, loud, and horrifying—well, you know what to do.
