PUP Announce Return to Australia and New Zealand in August 2025

Share

Canadian punk-rock misfits PUP are heading back down under this August for a headline tour across Australia and New Zealand.

It’s been a couple of years since PUP last hit our shores. Since then, they’ve been busy doing what they do best—overwriting their feelings, burning through tour vans, and turning emotional wreckage into anthems. Their fifth album, Who Will Look After The Dogs, drops 5 May, and they’re bringing the chaos with them.

Auckland and Wellington get first crack before the band tear through Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Expect songs from every PUP era—PUP, The Dream Is Over, Morbid Stuff, and THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND—plus whatever fresh wounds they’ve carved into Dogs.

The new album isn’t exactly a departure though. It’s more like doubling down. It’s PUP doing what they always do: unpacking self-loathing, existential dread and questionable decisions. Frontman Stefan Babcock sounds like he’s been through it—and wants to take you with him.

PUP aren’t new to the game. They’ve toured with Sum 41 and Jimmy Eat World, thrashed through Lollapalooza and Reading & Leeds, and landed on more “best of” lists than they’ll admit. But despite the accolades, they still sound like four friends shouting into the void and hoping something sticks.

Live, they’re a mess in the best way—loud, cathartic, funny, and just a little bit unhinged. If you’ve seen them before, you already know. If you haven’t, now’s your chance.
