Rapper EV Announces Debut Australian Tour for April 2025

Share

UK alternative/electronic/rap artist EV is heading to Australia for the first time. In support of his upcoming EP Sunset Behind The Tower Block, the rising artist will play four headline shows across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane this April.

The tour follows a breakout year that saw EV drop three singles and tour across the UK and Europe, building momentum with his blend of rap, garage, and electronic influences. His latest tracks, ‘Cuppa Tea’ and ‘Broken Britain’, have already picked up attention, while his collaboration with Australia’s Ben Gerrans on English Lad became a triple j and triple j Unearthed favourite.

EV’s music taps into the highs and lows of working-class life, chronicling the chaos of UK weekend culture with sharp storytelling and dancefloor-ready beats. His 2024 EP Sirens was a deep dive into that world—boozy nights, lost weekends, and the inevitable comedown. His sound pulls from UK garage, progressive dance, and early-2000s rap, earning comparisons to The Streets and Example while carving out a space of its own.

Having worked as a lorry mechanic while developing his sound, EV knows exactly what he’s rapping about. “Music has always been an escapism for me, and writing about UK weekend culture is something I’ve lived and those around me relate to,” he says. That authenticity has struck a nerve, with Friday Nights landing BBC Radio 1’s Track of the Week and English Lad going viral across Europe, breaking into Spotify’s Viral 50 in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.

With a reputation for high-energy sets and a rapidly growing fanbase, EV’s first Australian tour is set to be something special.

Pre-sale tickets go live Monday, February 10 at 1pm local time, with general sales opening Wednesday, February 12 at 12pm local time via Live Nation.
