Sleep Token’s Louder Than Life Set Was Pre-Scheduled By Over 20 Thousand People

Share

According to the Louder Than Life app’s schedule, over 20 thousand attendees added Sleep Token to their schedule for the loudest weekend in Louisville.

Louder Than Life has been absolutely massive so far with over 150 acts on the lineup – and 21,142 attendees added Sleep Token to their schedule ahead of their set on Friday night.

This is according to the Louder Than Life app, which lets attendees add the acts they want to see to their own personalised schedule. Interestingly, beyond the key info given (band, time, stage, etc), there’s also a constantly updating tally of how many other people have added each act to their own schedule.

Sleep Token’s numbers might not be surprising given the sheer scale of the band themselves (and the amount of fans attending Louder Than Life) – but if we take a look at headliners from across the long weekend, the numbers are pretty mind-blowing. By comparison, 11,760 fans scheduled to watch Slayer, 17,040 for Deftones, and 17,652 for Bring Me The Horizon.

Of course, just because someone schedules a band doesn’t mean they’re definitely going to go see them – and by the same token (no pun intended), not scheduling a band doesn’t mean someone won’t turn up. It’s pretty clear a decent amount more than 20 thousand people piled in to watch Sleep Token’s Friday night performance, which saw them play a career-spanning set of tracks from Even In Arcadia, Take Me Back To Eden, This Place Will Become Your Tomb and One.

Whether Bring Me The Horizon, tonight’s headliner (and the final headliner of Louder Than Life), can top Sleep Token’s numbers (on the app and in actual attendance) is anyone’s guess – but we won’t have to wait long to see.
