Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons, the sons of KISS legends Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, have been busy in the studio, churning out original music together.
What started as a one-off session quickly escalated, with the pair revealing they’ve now recorded 10 tracks.
Evan dropped the news on Instagram last Saturday (February 22), sharing photos of himself and Nick alongside recording gear. “One song turned into 10 real quick,” he wrote, hinting at a creative streak that doesn’t seem to be slowing down. The duo also posted a clip of themselves performing an original song with guitarist Jacob Bunton—who’s previously worked with acts like Steven Adler and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Paul Stanley chimed in on the post, calling the collaboration “magic!!!” while Nick’s sister, Sophie Simmons, playfully demanded, “We want the album.”
Whether an album is actually in the works remains unclear, but this isn’t the first time Evan and Nick have teamed up musically. Back in December, they shared a stripped-back cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s The Sound of Silence, which drew praise from Gene Simmons himself, who called it “amazing.”
Despite growing up in the shadow of one of rock’s most theatrical bands, Evan and Nick have largely avoided the face paint and fire-breathing route of their fathers. Evan has spent years building his own sound as a solo artist and producer, while Nick has dabbled in music alongside his work as a writer and actor.
The news of the pair working together comes after Paul Stanley recently revealed that he “knows why the band stopped, and it had to stop.” So whilst KISS might be no more, who knows what the future holds for their offspring.
For now, fans are left wondering what exactly this project will turn into. A few singles? A full album? A live gig? One thing’s for sure—if the enthusiasm from Paul Stanley is anything to go by, it might not be long before we hear more.
