Stray From The Path Drop Farewell Album Clockworked, Announce Breakup

Share

Hardcore veterans Stray From The Path have released their final album Clockworked and announced they’ll be wrapping up the band after 2025.

Hardcore mainstays Stray From The Path have released their tenth and final album, Clockworked, marking the beginning of the end for the long-running band.

In a statement shared to social media, the group confirmed that the new record would be their last, writing: “Our final album ‘Clockworked’ is out now. You can listen to it immediately and in its entirety on all streaming platforms.”

“This is a mutual decision, there’s no bad blood, we love each other and we love you all,” the post continues.

As far as sign-offs go, Clockworked is pure Stray From The Path – urgent, heavy, and venomous, with features from LANDMVRKS’ Florent Salfati (Clockworked) and Poison the Well’s Jeffrey Moreira (Bodies in the Dark). The record was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by longtime collaborator Will Putney, who the band gave a nod to in the announcement: happy birthday will.”

With ten tracks, Clockworked continues tStray From The Path’s legacy of politically charged, no-bullshit hardcore, delivered with all the force and fury that’s kept them at the top of the scene for over two decades.

The band also confirmed a European festival run this June, as well as plans for a farewell tour before the year is out: “We will be touring this coming June across Europe doing our final festival appearances, with some side shows along the way,” the post says. “In the next couple weeks, we will be announcing our final tour dates, and after 2025 we will be putting the band to rest. Looking forward to celebrating the band one last time together for the rest of this year.”

Clockworked is out now via Sharptone Records. The countdown to the end of Stray From The Path has officially begun, and I for one am not ready. Here’s hoping we get some Aussie shows before they wrap up.
