Sublime Announces Two Additional Australian Shows Alongside Bluesfest Appearance

Share

Sublime will play two additional Australian shows in Melbourne and Sydney, alongside their Bluesfest appearance in April.

Sublime are officially hitting Australia in April, and they’re not just playing Bluesfest in Byron Bay – they’re also set to light up the stage in Sydney and Melbourne as official sideshows for the festival.

The ska-punk icons will perform live at Festival Hall for the first time in nearly 30 years on April 1, before hitting Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on April 4. Joining them for both shows are special guests Skeggs.

Sublime’s current lineup features original members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, as well as Jakob Nowell, son of late frontman Bradley Nowell. This is the first time Australian audiences will get to experience the current iteration of Sublime live, with the band’s last venture Down Under coming under the ‘Sublime with Rome’ moniker before the project officially disbanded.

Sublime Australian Tour Dates

Tickets to Sublime’s Sydney and Melbourne shows go on sale on Thursday, 13 November at 11am AEDT. Bluesfest tickets are already available for sale.

  • Wednesday 1 April: Festival Hall, Melbourne
  • Thursday 2 April: Bluesfest, Byron Bay
  • Saturday 4 April: Hordern Pavilion, Sydney

Sublime have been on a mega run since Wilson and Gaugh reunited alongside Jakob Nowell in late 2023, followed by a huge Coachella performance in 2024. Since then, the band have performed at the 2025 edition of Vans Warped Tour Long Beach to a massive crowd, as well as releasing two songs with a new album on the way.

If you’ve been hanging out to hear ‘Santeria’ in person, it looks like it’s finally time, folks. At this stage, it doesn’t look like any other states are getting a look in, but we can cross our fingers Sublime might end up Doin’ Time across more of the country when they’re here in April.
