Taylor Momsen has stepped back into Whoville, but this time as the frontwoman of The Pretty Reckless, reviving her childhood role as Cindy Lou Who in the band’s new music video for ‘Where Are You Christmas?’.
The track anchors their holiday EP Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas, out now through Fearless Records, and the clip leans into nostalgia without losing the grit that’s shaped the band’s evolution.
The video opens on a moment ripped straight from turn of the millennium TV, a vintage broadcast of Jay Leno introducing young Taylor Momsen on The Tonight Show during the original How The Grinch Stole Christmas promo cycle.
It’s a full circle moment that connects the kid who helped define a Christmas classic with the artist she’s become, the clip then shifts into a hybrid performance piece, stitching together footage of Momsen as Cindy Lou Who with the leather clad singer who has led The Pretty Reckless to chart history.
The Pretty Reckless ‘Where Are You Christmas?’ video
25 years in the making
Midway through, the EP’s track ‘When We Were Young’ folds into the mix, bridging past and present with a more cinematic tone, Momsen closes with ‘Christmas, Why Can’t I Find You?’, the first time she’s sung those final notes in 25 years, delivering the moment alone in a blazing red Christian Siriano gown.

The Pretty Reckless continue to carve out their place in rock history, becoming the first female fronted band to land eight No. 1 singles on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart.
From early standouts like ‘Heaven Knows’ to the heavy emotional weight of Death By Rock And Roll, the band’s trajectory has been nothing short of inspiring.
With this Christmas EP, Momsen isn’t just revisiting an old character, she’s reclaiming her origin story and bending it back into the world she built.
