Teenage Joans Announce ‘My Heart’s Dead!’ Single Tour

Share

Teenage Joans are hitting the road for their first headline run in two years, with a string of October and November dates in support of their new single My Heart’s Dead!

The Adelaide pop-punk duo will be joined by fellow locals Towns for all shows, with Melbourne emo outfit Bukowski opening everywhere except Brisbane, where skate-punks Talk Heavy will take over support duties.

The My Heart’s Dead! tour will be the band’s only headline shows of 2025, sitting alongside their current stint with Slowly Slowly on a regional circuit through Victoria, Queensland, and Hobart. Fans who caught their recent support slot for Canadian punks PUP already heard My Heart’s Dead! live, it debuted on release day in Brisbane before closing out in Perth just last week.

Recorded with producer Jared Nettle, the single follows April’s Sweet & Slow and marks another punchy entry in the pair’s growing catalogue. It’s a continuation of the work they’ve been putting in since their 2023 debut The Rot That Grows Inside My Chest, which was followed by a co-headline tour with Between You & Me and the collaborative single 1800-PAINLESS. They also ticked off their first Like a Version, covering Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe alongside BYAM.

Teenage Joans have also shown a willingness to use their platform politically, releasing the Bandcamp-only track Intifada in 2024 to raise funds for UNRWA and voice solidarity with Palestine. “Punk isn’t a genre, it’s a movement,” they said at the time, a statement that continues to frame their ethos.
