The Amity Affliction look set to drop a brand new single tomorrow, and it’s looking like it’ll be unreleased track ‘All That I Remember.’
The Amity Affliction are back with something new, and it drops tomorrow.
After keeping fans guessing for months about what’s next following their 2023 album Not Without My Ghosts (and the Redux of Let The Ocean Take Me), the Queensland heavyweights have announced what appears to be a release of a brand new single.
Taking to Instagram today, The Amity Affliction posted a teaser for a new song alongside shots from a music video – and based on the short snippet we’ve got, it looks like it’ll be the currently-unreleased track ‘All That I Remember.’
If you’re out of the loop, ‘All That I Remember’ is a new track that the band played live in São Paulo last month – with fans recording video of the seemingly first play of the track and uploading it to YouTube. Comparing the Instagram teaser with the keys and overall sound from the song, it sounds like a pretty spot-on match.
If you’re interested in hearing what Brazilian fans got a sneak peek of, here’s a fan video of the performance:
While the band haven’t yet officially revealed the title, they’ve locked in global release times and confirmed it’ll be arriving on Thursday morning for Australian listeners.
For fans in Australia, the new track will be out at 7:00 AM AEST on May 29. That lines up with a May 28 release for fans in other timezone. The time zone roll-out suggests this is a properly co-ordinated global drop, with the song releasing alongside a full music video that appears chock-full of flames and heavy riffs.
This will be The Amity Affliction’s first new music since the departure of Ahren Stringer earlier this year, which the band at the time cited was due to a complete breakdown in the relationship and “certain behaviours” that could no longer be tolerated. Jonathan Reeves has taken up the mantle in Stringer’s absence.
Whether this new track is a standalone single or the first taste of a larger project remains to be seen. The Amity Affliction are set to kick off The Summer Of Loud tour in the US & Canada with bands like Parkway Drive and Killswitch Engage, so it looks like punters heading along to those shows will be among the first to get a taste of what’s to come.
The band will also be performing a Like A Version for triple j on Friday morning, so we might get even more insight into what’s been cooking in the Amity camp this week.
Whatever the track turns out to be, it won’t be long before we know. The Amity Affliction drop their brand new single tomorrow morning, and all signs point to another chapter beginning.
