The Church Announce ‘Singles Tour’ With Full-Career Setlist

Share

The Church have announced The Singles Tour: A Career Retrospective, a national run set for November 2025 that dives deep into the band’s now 40-plus-year discography.

Formed in Sydney in 1980, The Church have built one of the most enduring careers in Australian rock. Now, for the first time, they’ll be performing a full set of career-spanning singles, pulling from every era of their catalogue.

Everyone knows Under the Milky Way. It’s truly a track that’s lingered everywhere from Donnie Darko to car ads but the band’s catalogue runs far deeper. This tour will spotlight 20 classic tracks, including The Unguarded Moment, Reptile, Electric Lash, Already Yesterday, and Metropolis. Also in the set: Tear It All Away, It’s No Reason, Columbus, Ripple, The Hypnogogue and more.

Known for blending psych rock with lush atmospheres and introspective lyrics, The Church never chased trends. Their sound evolved on its own terms—meditative and strange, but grounded by strong songwriting and a distinct melodic pull. Even now, they’re still pushing forward, with their most recent work (The Hypnogogue, 2023) earning praise for its ambition.

This tour isn’t a final lap though. It’s actually more of a rare chance to hear the band distil their output into one focussed, one-night experience. Here there’s no deep cuts or sidesteps, it’s just the singles, played live and loud.

Presale starts Wednesday April 9 at 10am local time. General on-sale hits Friday April 11. Tickets can be purchased here.
