The Lemonheads Announce Australian Tour for May 2025

Share

The Lemonheads are heading back to Australia in May, giving fans a rare chance to hear It’s a Shame About Ray (1992) and Come On Feel the Lemonheads (1993) played in full.

Evan Dando and co. will take their nostalgia-packed set across five cities. The tour also marks the final run of their anniversary celebrations for these two era-defining records. That means start-to-finish renditions of tracks like ‘Into Your Arms’, ‘My Drug Buddy’, ‘Big Gay Heart’, and ‘It’s About Time’. For longtime fans, this news is quite literally a dream.

For Dando, this tour feels like a full-circle moment. “I’m beyond stoked to be heading back to Australia, just in time for the release of new music that I’ve been working on. Including a single co-written with the incredibly talented Tom Morgan,” he said. “Australia has always been a massive source of inspiration for my music, and with new music coming soon, this feels like a dream come true.”

The tour also marks the end of an era. “It’s a special moment for me, as we wrap up celebrating the 30th anniversary of It’s a Shame About Ray and Come On Feel the Lemonheads,” Dando added. “To be able to mark the end of that era in Australia, a place that’s always felt like a second home, is almost like being blessed to move on to a new moment.”

Presale tickets go live Thursday, February 27 at 10am local time, with general sale kicking off Friday, February 28. Tickets can be purchased here.

For anyone who grew up with The Lemonheads or just appreciates alt-rock history, this tour is one not to miss. After this run, Dando is setting his sights on the future—so this might be the last time these albums get the full live treatment.
