Thornhill have returned with a new single and video, Mercia, a release that continues their evolution while preparing fans for their biggest Australian shows to date. The Melbourne heavyweights will bring BODIES and Mercia home in February for a headline run already selling fast in Brisbane, Adelaide, and Melbourne.
Mercia is a track steeped in raw honesty, built on searing riffs and sorrowful melodies, it pulls at the same emotional thread that made BODIES resonate worldwide. “Mercia is a song about loving someone lost in their own abyss,” explains vocalist Jacob Charlton. “It speaks to the ache of giving everything, only to be met with silence and walls. By the end, the speaker is hardened—they can’t offer mercy anymore.”

Thornhill’s rise has been undeniable, their April 2025 release BODIES debuted at #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart, hit multiple Billboard charts in the U.S., and racked up more than 107 million streams.
