Times of Grace are back with a new album

Share

It may have been ten long years since fans have heard new music from Times of Grace, but the decade-long wait has now come to an end. The revered project of Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz and Jesse Leach, Times of Grace will herald in their return with a new album titled Songs of Loss and Separation, which is out on July 16th via the band’s imprint label, Wicked Good Records. This time around, the duo is joined by ex-Envy On The Coast drummer Dan Gluszak, who, after touring with them previously, has now been welcomed in as an official member of the band.

To coincide with the announcement, Times of Grace have shared the album’s opening track, ‘The Burden of Belief’. Leach has described the song as a “spark of the oncoming fire,” noting that it “foreshadows the journey of this album.” He elaborates: “This song is an unveiling of who we, Times of Grace, have become after all of these years. This is a testimony of falling apart, losing faith, letting go, and the desire to kill and purge the past. It is the unraveling, the catharsis and the rebirth. So it begins….”

Dutkiewicz adds that it “almost feels strange” finally releasing the material on this record, specifically calling out ‘The Burden of Belief’. “I started writing this song over 10 years ago, so it’s been around for quite some time. I really hope you guys dig it, and I hope we will get the opportunity to play it for you guys live someday. Thanks, everyone!”

Times of Grace initially started recording together back in 2008, releasing their debut album The Hymn of a Broken Man three years later in 2011. The debut album saw the act head on tour everywhere from Download Festival to the Soundwave Festival here in Australia, before an indefinite hiatus kicked in from 2012.
